Health Savings Checking Account

An HSA is a special tax-advantaged account that is used with a high-deductible health plan (HDHP) and allows you and your family members to pay for various qualified medical expenses* from co-payments at your doctor's office to pharmacy bills, dental care, vision care, and more. You can contribute with one-time or recurring transfers from your checking account, roll funds over from another HSA, or even better, set up a payroll deduction option which lets you make pre-tax contributions on a regular basis.

We make it easy for you to use your HSA funds. We provide a NBDC debit card that's linked to your account. Use the card to pay for your doctor visit or withdraw cash from an ATM if needed. You'll also have online access to your HSA on our secure website where you can manage your account anywhere, any time.

*Qualified medical expenses are those expenses generally described in IRS Publication 502 titled, "Medical and Dental Expenses," Catalog Number 15002Q.
